Create an account
One sign-up gives you a sandbox environment for tests and a live environment for real payments.
Sign up#
Create an account at dashboard.merxian.com/signup. The dashboard is where you manage products and prices, webhook endpoints, onboarding, and settings.
Two environments#
Your organization gets two environments when you sign up:

| Live | Real payments from real buyers. | mx_live_ |
Each environment has its own account ID (acct_…), its own data, and its own API keys. A sandbox key cannot read live data, and a live key cannot read sandbox data. The dashboard has a switch between the two. See Accounts and environments.
Complete onboarding#
Before you take live payments, complete onboarding in the dashboard. Onboarding asks for your business profile, your legal entity, your registered and operating addresses, your base currency, and your acceptance of the agreements.
You can build and test in sandbox while onboarding is open.
Create a price#
Checkout sessions and transactions refer to catalog prices. Create a product and a price in the dashboard, in the sandbox environment, and copy the price ID (price_…). See Products and prices.
